The Protein Waffle

The Protein Waffle! Ready to tweak our classic protein pancake mix into a crispy, airy waffle?

Delicious high protein snack for the afternoon or a full breakfast! Low calorie waffles, with crispy exterior and fluffy insides.

Prep Time - 1 minutes

Cook Time - 7 minutes

Serves - 1

Category - Waffles

Cuisine - French

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Maple Bacon Protein Pancake Mix
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Maple Syrup to dunk / pour over

Method / Directions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker.

  2. Mix up your pancake mix and water into a batter. We suggest adding your water slowly and keeping the mixture thicker for waffles.

  3. Add your 1 tbsp of olive oil to the mix and stir through well.

  4. Pour your combined mix onto your waffle maker and anxiously wait for 7 minutes. (this amount of time should ensure it’s nice and crispy!)

  5. Remove, top with maple syrup and devour. Or… you could add your maple syrup to a small dish and just dunk each quarter of your waffle in like a little sandwich! (great for a snack)

Tried this recipe today and found it perfect for our Cuisinart waffle maker. Makes 4 and all ready at the same time. Much easier than flipping pancakes.

The waffle mixes from https://kodiakcakes.com/collections/flapjack-waffle-mix are fantastic! I love protein-rich waffle combinations! They’re delicious and high in protein! My wife has quit using traditional waffle mixes in favor of these, since she, too, enjoys them!
